Welcome at "Pleistozaen" Australian Cattle Dogs! |
|
| "Pleistozaen"
is a young kennel located in the northwest of Vienna, Austria. My name is
Viktoria Kastner and I have scientific education as a biologist and zoologist.
I try to use this knowlege in my breeding program with special emphasis
on heredity and population genetics.
Puppies born
in my kennel are very likely to be good working dogs, suitable for any
kind of dogsport but neither suitable for a life as a couch potatoe nor
as a kenneldog. If you are
interested in a puppy or if you want to know more about Australian Cattle
Dogs or my breeding program, please contact me via e-mail
or mobile phone: +43/664/73616465 PhilosophyMy aim is to breed sound and healthy Australian Cattle Dogs with all anatomical and behavioural traits of a working dog. My ideal Australian Cattle Dog should resemble a "small, thickset Dingo", should be highly intelligent, very trainable, physically endurant and persistent in doing her job. To improve their health dam and puppies are fed on a fresh diet (BARF) and not on commercial dog food. Puppies will go to their new homes very well socialised, dewormed, adequatly vaccinated, microchipped and BEAR-tested. They will get ÖKV/FCI papers and an European Pet Passport. I judge population genetics very important in keeping a breed healthy as a population and therefore aim for offspring with a broad genetical background. I try to reduce gene loss in my breeding program and therefore I do no inbreeding or line breeding. FemaleMy bitch Corra
(Corra Blue from Walkers of the Wind) was born
in 2004 as daughter of Australian Import "Kombinalong
Super Tasman" and Germany bred "Jumpin
Joker's Chelsea." Corra is doing very well in dogsport. She has
earned her obedience degrees (companion dog level 1-3) and is doing mantrailing
- Corra already successfully passed the exam to the Mantrailer Beginner
Level (MB). She is doing canicross and bikejöring regularly and is
herding started. She is a passionate companion dog at horseback-riding
as well. Corra is tested free for hereditary diseases (Canine Hip Dysplasia (HD B), Elbow Dysplasia (ED 0/0), Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Sensorineural Deafness). She has obtained her breeding licences in the ÖKV (Austrian Kynological Association). Corra bears
the title "Austrian Champion". She has great conformation and
a lot of pigment. Corra is poetry in motion, moving fast and effortlessly
and is showing perfect angulation. LittersPuppies born May 2012One red boy,
two blue girls and two red girls were born on May 6th. C-Litter born 31.5.2011Corras third

Paavo" aka "Pocco." There are 4 girls and 3 boys, all but one red boy are blue. One male has unilateral hearing, all the others have normal bilateral hearing. One male has a tail anomaly. One male is missing both lower P4, one female is missing one lower P2, all the others have complete dentition. B-Litter born 8.2.2010Corras second
litter was sired by the red male "Jumpin
Joker's Emilio". There are 4 girls and 3 boys, all of them tested bilateral hearing. All of them have complete and correct dentition. One female has a minor tail anomaly. A-Litter born 22.3.2009Corras first

Valley Chaos. Chaos is famous for his working abilitys, he his the
stud with the most working degrees in Europe. He is tested free of hip
and elbow dysplasia and he is prcdPRA pattern A (free). There are 3 girls and 3 boys, all of them tested bilateral hearing. Five have full and correct dentition, one female has a correct scissors bite but is missing one lower P2. From this litter I kept a very promising red girl, Pleistozaen Aquila rapax, who is doing quite well in mantrailing and has earned her first obedience degree with 15 months of age. Aquila got x-ray and is free of hip and elbow dysplasia (HD A, ED 0/0). Aquila has obtained her breeding permission in ÖKV/FCI in december 2011. |
